The La Senza Shopping Experience
March 3, 2007 – 11:41 pmAfter I wrote in to La Senza for clarification on shipping to Malaysia, it was rectified to CAD40 and not CAD60 as was erroneously charged in my first attempt to check out the order. Also, I was informed that they do indeed ship to Malaysia. That was great news, albeit delayed by the weekend.
So there was a delay but it was a blessing in disguise. A new week saw a new promotional offer, where there was a 30% discount on all bras sold at La Senza. That, and coupled with a promotional code that gave us a 15% discount on the order total, excluding shipping, I would say that we managed to get a pretty good deal and saved a handsome sum.
After checking out my order, I panicked as my account history showed myself as the recipient but with my friend’s delivery address. I was afraid that DHL would not release the package. Again, I had to write in to request for a manual rectification. I received a reply that the shipping label is correct. Then does that mean there is a bug in their system?
The thing that puts me off from shopping at international online stores is the high shipping charge. In this case, it was CAD40 by DHL. The site mentioned five business days for delivery, but the package arrived in less than four days. I checked out in the evening of 28th February, 2007, Malaysian time, and the package was delivered in the morning of 3rd March, 2007. Surprisingly fast, even if it’s DHL!
All in all, everyone is happy in the end.
