eBay Toolbar Account Guard

Nowadays, there are so many unscrupulous people trying to get our personal information like account log in ID and password, credit card details and worst of all, Social Security Numbers that it is of utmost importance to be ultra alert when logging into trading or financial websites.

Also, it is very important NOT to click on links that come in via email, no matter if it is a legitimate email or not. What I always to do is to TYPE out the URL in the address bar manually or to access it via my bookmarks or favorites if it is a website that I access frequently.

If you do not already know, eBay has a very useful toolbar which you can install to your browser and you will be alerted if you are trying to access a spoof eBay or Paypal website.

With the alert, you will not, hopefully, log in to the website with your ID and password, and hence avoid the phishing attempt.
