A Loss To eBay, Too
May 18, 2007 – 11:14 amWhen I wrote “What Is the Loss to PayPal?” last week, little did I know that it will take such a long time for this PayPal glitch to be resolved. I mean, this is so serious and if they can’t get it to work properly in a timely manner, just RESTORE or UNDO. It does not need a genius to know this, does it?
Anyway, not only is PayPal losing when half the world is unable to accept their pending payments on PayPal because we do not have a US bank account and naturally so since we are not Americans, for heaven’s sake.
Due to this glitch in PayPal’s system, many of my fellow etraders have stopped listing their items for auction or sale on international eBay sites altogether until this matter is resolved.
When we can’t trade and our business is disrupted, eBay will see a significant drop in insertion and final value fees. If they don’t know yet, many Sellers on eBay international sites ARE NOT Americans, do not OWN a US bank account BUT we have a PayPal account because this is the premier mode of payment on eBay.
