A Way Of Looking At Malaysians

May 15, 2007 – 6:01 pm

Since the recent problem with PayPal, it is unsettling to note that some people are applauding this new development and hope that this is not a PayPal glitch but a REAL limitation for users outside of North America, or at least people without an American Bank account.

These people think that Malaysians are all scammers too. People like them are usually living under their own shell, narrow-minded, not widely traveled, or even knowledgeable. Should we pity them?

Why I say it is unsettling is because they have clumped Malaysians alongside Nigerians. While the percentage of Nigerians who are scammers is high (who hasn’t heard of Scam 419?), a few bad Malaysian apples have spoilt our international reputation.

I am of course outraged at this foreign outlook because I am an honest trader and I know quite a few others who are as well. We are all hard working traders and collect our feedback score the honest way. No doubt, fraud happens everywhere, even in Malaysia, but I don’t believe that we are on par with the Nigerians. Are we??

  5. I totally agree with you. Greediness is the cause of all these. If people just stop and think for a minute if there is really such a good thing as HYIP, then there won’t be so much losses.

I do believe that HYIP can make money but it’s only a flash in a pan thingy. Many people, once invested some money in and seeing the returns just keep putting in more and more capital, forgetting to withdraw their capital.
