About Loans

May 3, 2007 – 10:41 pm

I actually avoid taking out loans because of the high interest rates but there are times when I am not able to escape from taking out one, especially for buying something expensive like the car or a house but I definitely try my best to avoid taking out secured loans because in case anything happens to me that I am unable to meet my repayment schedule, at least my assets are protected.

Having said this, I feel that there are loans that are necessary and loans that are unnecessary. It is important for us, the borrower, to live within our means and not take out so many loans that we have trouble repaying them at the end of the month.

Compared to remortgages loans, home improvement loans are really unnecessary. I believe that if we have the change to lower the interest rate of our mortgage, then by all means get a remortgage loan.

On the other hand, I would never take on a home improvement loan, especially when I still have a huge mortgage to pay off.

I had the chance to do a UK loan comparison through UK Personal Loan Store and was impressed that we could compare over 250 loan plans! I think everyone who is considering a loan should compare all the available loans first.
