Against The TOS
May 12, 2007 – 9:10 amYesterday, I received an email from someone who contacted me through Lelong. He said that he is only selecting traders of good standing to participate in his new money making scheme.
At first, I thought that it has something to do with trading but it is NOT!
Anyway, he wants me to be his down line and he said that once I have registered under him, I can advertise this similar scheme with my own User ID by placing a banner within my eBay listing.
Hello, brother, do you want to get my eBay account suspended? It is against the Terms of Service of eBay to advertise any external website, let alone a get rich quick pyramid scheme like this, where people override each other.
Did you know that it is also against the Terms of Use to publish the URL of a third party website as the signature on the Forum or Community Boards? However, the Pinkies have been rather lenient when it comes to PowerSellers. Such biased attitude!
And anyway, I could report this member for spamming me with such an email through Lelong. I bet that I am not the only person contacted in such a manner. But no, I will not be mean.
