New Enhanced Features of IDrive-E Online BackUp
May 28, 2007 – 10:57 amSince the day I realized that we can actually set our computer to back up online and not lose any data should something unfortunate happen to our computer, I have been searching online to find a reliable Online Backup provider.
I came across a directory of online backups and saw IDrive.com in the list. I really like their motto “Saving the world, one computer at a time.” As you know, I run an online business and most of my data are all saved in my hard disk. I have been told that keeping data in the same disk, although a different partition, is not a guarantee that our data can be preserved. The best is to save all important data off-site.
I feel that IDrive will come in handy, especially with their free account for up to 2GB of storage space. It definitely is useful for people like me who are running on a tight budget.
On the other hand, for people who can afford an account with IDrive, they have recently added new features to their paid package of unlimited backup. With IDrive-E Pro, users can now create and manage multiple accounts in a user-friendly web interface along with the new IDrive-S feature for better file and folder sharing via the web.
These two new features were revealed recently due to popular requests from small businesses. It’s great that they actually implemented features based on feedback from users.
