PayPal Glitch Resolved: It’s Business As Usual
May 25, 2007 – 3:54 pmIt is so surreal that after a long 16-day in limbo, we are finally able to accept our pending payments that had been sitting on our PayPal accounts. There was an uproar earlier when accounts from certain countries were facing technical problems but there seems to be no celebration now that our accounts are back in order. Perhaps people are already numbed from it?
Personally, when the glitch was fresh, I was checking my PayPal every other minute. As time went by, I only checked my account twice a day. This afternoon, I had difficulty logging into my PayPal account but when I managed to get in and tried to accept my funds without hope, suddenly I was able to “Accept Payment But Don’t Add a Bank Account Now”. Boy, did that surprise me!
I spent almost 45 minutes accepting a total of 111 payments. Yes, I counted
To be frank, I am very dissatisfied with the manner that this glitch was handled. The issue was not acknowledged properly and was not resolved in a timely manner. I am an etrader and PayPal serves as my main payment gateway to facilitate payments from international buyers. I also depend on PayPal to process my credit card payments. HOWEVER, I am just so thankful that our accounts are now functioning. It’s back to business as usual! Yay!!!

Aiyoh… I think the DENY button needs a CONFIRM button as well. It’s a pity if PayPal will not be able to resend to you, because I think it gets credited AUTOMATICALLY into the sender’s PayPal account. Is the sum big? I hope not. So sorry this had to happen after such a looong wait!
The best is still to get the sender to send once more
