Read Receipt For Spam? Ridiculous!
May 19, 2007 – 8:14 amYou don’t want to know the amount of spam email I receive daily. As an etrader, I have my email address plastered all over the internet wherever I advertise my products and WebStore.
I am OK with the spam from legitimate businesses because I understand that we are all trying to make business on the internet and emailing is one of the ways to connect to each other.
I also receive numerous emails from people who have bought something from me in the past and now they are selling something or have joined some MLM network so they just mail just about anyone, including me.
What I do not like is to receive email that touts dubious get-rich-quick schemes. Remember, there is NO shortcut to wealth. And then there are spam mail congratulating me of winning a lottery or another. The worst kinds are phishing mails. We have to be ultra careful here!
I normally just trash all spam but sometimes do open such mail just to read what the latest baits that people throw out are. The other day, I received an unsolicited email from a company in India and the sender had the nerve to ask me for a read receipt. How ridiculous can one get??
