The Peridot Capitalist, Stock Market and Investment Blog
May 17, 2007 – 9:40 amYou may know that last week I have put in an application for a complete investment account which is primarily a brokerage account. I did not intend to invest into stocks at first but I was subsequently told that my account may be restricted, suspended or closed all together should I not have any stock trading activity after one year.
Well, so I think it is time to pack in some stock market research while waiting for the application of my account to be approved.
Some people are afraid of investing in stocks but I believe that with in-depth research and sound knowledge of the market, an investor is able to take calculated risk. I have been dabbling in stocks since ten years ago and I have been through bull and bear markets so I believe that money can be made even in a bear market.
To start off my homework in researching American stocks, my friend Paul, who is based in New York City, has advised me to read through The Peridot Capitalist, a stock market and investment blog written by Mr. Chad Brand, President of Peridot Capital Management, an investment advisory firm.
Paul said that of all the resource sites on stocks and investment, he is recommending The Peridot Capitalist because this blog has received praise within the industry. Moreover, Mr. Brand will disclose his short or long term holding positions if he has any stocks that is being discussed on his blog. This full disclosure is of course very helpful.
I like it that Mr. Brand also does website reviews of other financial sites. His summary makes it easy for me to check out the good and informative sites without wasting time on sites that may not be useful to me currently. As you know, the internet is so huge that it will take a lot of time for me to search through them manually without pointers from Mr. Brand.
All in all, I am delighted to be told of this blog. As this is a blog written by the President of a value-oriented contrarian investment advisory firm, I am assured of receiving the latest breaking news and updates on the stock market as well as movers and shakers of American stocks.
