Thrift Shopping
May 7, 2007 – 9:02 amI know a friend who loves thrift shopping. It is not that she cannot afford shopping at proper stores but she gets a kick out of discovering and buying things that are rare or even vintage. Items in thrift stores or junk sales are usually hand-me-downs. No one can really tell if they were second or third hand.
And this friend buys stuff like clothes, ear-rings and shoes.
You know, the only thing that I will ever buy second hand is books. That’s it. I will never ever want to use any second hand clothes or shoes or ear-rings from people I do not know. I cannot even begin to comprehend how some people can do that.
Worse, there are people who specifically look for used underwear. Washed or unwashed is another matter all together.
