Wrong Addressee?
May 15, 2007 – 8:07 amI have recently uncovered a new scam trend. The sender sends an email to your email address but does not address you directly. And in the email, the sender has quoted the entire email conversation.
So the curious recipient, seeing that it is a legit email, only that it has been sent to the wrong address, would most probably read the email conversation in its entirety.
Such an email would most probably be a discussion of some deal or other that is too good to be true but the unsuspecting recipient would believe the contents of the email and I believe you can imagine what happens to this recipient.
There is a saying which goes, “A fool and his money are soon parted.”
