Celcom So Dumb
June 23, 2007 – 8:00 pmJust this month, I subscribed to Celcom 3G and it is MYR99 per month. This is the package that is for Celcom post paid mobile users only. However, my monthly credit limit for my mobile phone is only MYR150 and since I have a basic MYR99 per month for the 3G service incorporated into my monthly bill, that means I do not have much room for voice calls and text messages before I reach my credit limit.
Celcom sends out payment reminder via SMS text and automated voice calls to subscribers who have reached 70 - 90% of their credit limit and you can imagine me being bombarded by them almost every day chasing for payment right after billing date although the bill has yet to be delivered to my home address and despite the fact that I have paid my mobile bill for a 13-month advance.
Imagine getting a call from an unidentified number and wondering who it may be and then BAM! it is Celcom chasing for payment. Imagine receiving SMS text out of the blue and thinking that it is a friend sending you a joke to cheer up your day and there it is Celcom chasing for payment AGAIN!
Do I have to suffer from this for one whole year? I think the only solution would be to raise my credit limit and to do that, I would have to give them more deposit but WHY SHOULD I when I am not using that much for voice calls and SMS? MYR150 is more than enough already as it is.
I just find it ultra stupid!

Hi Azmanmi,
Thanks for commenting!
I already raised my credit limit after being a subscriber for three months. The thing that I find dumb is because I already prepaid my voice/SMS bill for 13 months but they still kept chasing for payment.
Now, I raised my credit limit to RM250. I don’t get these reminders anymore.
