Customer Care Call Centres
June 21, 2007 – 4:39 amRecently I had the opportunity to call a couple of Customer Care Centres, including to NokiaCare. Previously, I have only ever called to Streamyx and Celcom customer care centres. Don’t get me wrong. It is not that I *like* calling them but it is only because I have some problems that I am forced to make those calls. And they aren’t free either.
What a vast difference between the staff who handled my calls. The latter two Customer Care Centres are of foreign companies while Streamyx and Celcom are local companies.
I must say that the foreign ones are so professionally trained. Heck, even their spoken English sounds like native English speakers that got me wondering if they are outside Malaysia. From what I know, multinational companies usually have a regional call centre serving a few countries in the region.
While they may speak perfect English, I wonder if they could answer calls from the average Malaysian caller who prefer to speak Malay. Aha would they divert the call to a Malay speaking customer service executive? I think I need to find out how these call centres actually work because I am so curious now.
