Do You Want The Business? Pt. 2

June 16, 2007 – 6:52 pm

On Wednesday, I went to a shop to buy an item. They said they have no stock so I asked them when they will have stock and how much they are selling it. They told me to wait “awhile” as they will have someone send it over but I said that I have to rush and could not wait but I will drop by in the evening, which was like four hours away.

I said that I will give them a call first to confirm if the item has arrived and they agreed and even wrote down their mobile number for me, since it was not printed on their business card.

In the evening, something came up and I was unable to go. The next morning, I called them from 11am onwards until evening, I have even lost count how many times I called, but no one picked up the phone and I kept getting the message, “Please leave a message after the beep.” which I did not leave. I hardly ever leave a message because I personally do not listen to voice mail even if I have it. I have disabled my own voice mail since my phone is never shut off and I do not need it.

Anyway, I want to know, why give me the number if they do not answer their phone. For goodness sake, it is a business worth MYR150. Don’t they want it?

In the end, I did not buy from them not because they did not pick up my call but I found out that the same item is selling in Kuala Lumpur for MYR89 only. Bah!
