Missing Contact Information

June 16, 2007 – 8:07 am

Today, I went to the website of a leading cable TV company as I was looking for the address and telephone number of the office in my hometown. Unfortunately, the website only shows the address of each office. Isn’t it weird that they did not list the telephone number, fax number and email address? I mean these are the basic information for people to contact the office.

Not everyone can make it in person to the office and who wants to write snail mail anymore? Even if I live next door to the office, it does not mean that I can make it to the office in person. There are times that I prefer to lift up the phone and get answers to my questions.

They do have a customer service line but it is not displayed prominently enough. Does it mean that we have to call Customer Service to obtain the local telephone number? It is a 1-300 number so we still have to pay for our call to the centre and that means paying for two calls when one is sufficient.

If you have read my post, Reaching Out To Customers, you will know what I am getting at!
