Setting The Fashion Trend On Court
June 4, 2007 – 8:21 amIf you are a tennis fan, you would notice that the court is now like a fashion catwalk. Gone are the days of watching tennis players in pristine white, especially at Wimbledon.
Since the rules for tennis apparel, especially womens tennis apparel have relaxed, tennis stars have taken fashion onto another level and setting the trend on court. No longer is game play enough to pull viewer ship we now demand to see them play well and look good at the same time.
The latest tennis star to be clothed by celebrity fashion designer, Stella McCartney is Maria Kirilenko.
However, I still think that the best overall dresser is Maria Sharapova. Just about anything looks good on her! Humphhh! There was once that I felt she looked amazingly striking in a time lime dress. Although she did not play excellent tennis, her style made up for the lack.
The next time you watch tennis, try to check out the fashion in addition to the sports. You will be surprised at the styles that designers come up with.
