Wachovia WHAT?
June 20, 2007 – 2:40 amI mentioned a couple of times that phishing has become more and more rampant. Right after writing the post, Fantastic 5 X PayPal Phishing Attempts, I received YET another email from them asking me to update my personal particulars on my account OR ELSE. Oooohhhh, I feel threatened.
I really can understand why they are making so much effort in trying to gain access to other people’s financial accounts. Really, it all boils down to money, after all.
However, this morning, I was puzzled to receive a mail of similar nature telling me of my account status at Wachovia Bank. Wachovia WHAT?
I really can understand if it was PayPal or Bank of America, but Wachovia Bank? I never even heard of such a bank prior to today! I Googled it and came across it on Wikipedia HERE. Too bad I never heard of it earlier
