Why Dragonfi Is Different
June 16, 2007 – 10:20 amHow many kinds of home financing do you know of? Well, I also just realized that there is the Direct Lender and there is the finance broker. Obviously, everyone who is taking out a loan should cut off the middle man.
The difference between Dragonfi and other home finance companies is that Dragonfi is one of the very rare direct lenders. I was told that Dragonfi really cares about their clients and guide each client on a one-to-one personal basis in securing home financing. Also, they do explain each step and let the clients know what they are getting themselves committed to by taking about a home loan.
By my sister’s account, when she took out a home finance from a company, which we later found out was a broker and not a direct lender, she was handed a stack of paperwork to fill out. She remembers that is was more than eight copies that she had to complete and being a new borrower, had no idea how to go about it. She was confused and lost and because she was unfamiliar with the forms and requirements, found herself making errors and redoing some paperwork which could be avoided if her borrower had explained to her step by step on what she should do and how to do it.
My sister now regrets that she did not really look for a direct lender as reliable as Dragonfi instead. My sister said that the owners of Dragonfi have kept the company large enough to serve their clients’ financing needs but at the same time small enough to serve them on a personal basis.
Dragonfi explores each client’s financing needs and present these options to the clients explaining the pros and cons of each different loan option. This is the way to do it since most people who are seeking a home loan or refinance do not really know the many available options. If only all companies are made compulsory to explain in detail the various financing available to each client, the clients would be more knowledgeable and would make a more informed choice in their financing.
