All Kinds Of Loans
July 29, 2007 – 12:49 pmLast weekend, I attended a colleague’s wedding reception. It was very lavish and I am sure we all had a memorable dinner. However, I later found out that the couple paid for it with a loan. Can you believe that there are such things as wedding loans? Weddings are very expensive affairs nowadays but it is hard to think that there are couples who willingly take out a loan for such a celebration only to be saddled with a debt as they start life together. I mean loans like these we can certainly do without. If I were the bride, I would rather have a quiet reception that we paid for.
The bride told me that at first, they did not know there were wedding loans either and wanted to take out personal loans to cover the cost but then luckily they did not as personal and wedding loans have different repayment terms.
I feel kind of guilty that they felt the need to put up such a front for the wedding guests. I hope that they will settle this debt and don’t end up having bad credit ratings and then when they really need a loan, they would qualify for nothing by bad credit loans, which are so much more expensive!
