Beach Cruisers For Everyone

July 26, 2007 – 1:00 pm

Not too long ago, I wrote a post about bringing out the beach cruiser because it’s summertime and it’s time to get a break from work and soak up some sun. Surprisingly, although I live near the coast, not many people here own a beach cruiser. Well, they never had the chance to try it out so they don’t know what they are missing. As for myself, my sister introduced me to the bike and I love every minute I’m on it.

The beach cruiser actually has a very different design than normal bicycles and they come in so many striking colors that people can’t help but take a second look and I have people stopping me to ask me where I got my cruiser from. Look what a great conversation starter it is!

One of the online stores that I came across that sells beach cruisers is Copacabana Bikes. I have come across quite a few actually but Copacabana seems to offer one of the widest ranges of bikes with the most reasonable prices.

What I like though, is that for the Marley beach cruisers, which is an up and coming brand, 10% of profits from every sale will be channeled a charity that supports the construction of schools in Tigray, Ethiopia which means that not only do we get to purchase a cute Marley at a great price, but enjoy subsidized shipping courtesy of Copacabana Bikes and enjoy their excellent customer service, but also indirectly contribute to a charitable cause.

According to the website, all bikes are shipped in boxes at 80% assembled and they recommend that buyers send the bike to be assembled at the local bicycle shop and it would only cost an extra $15 or so, to be on the safe side, though each bike comes with instructions.

For people who haven’t got a taste of the cruiser bike, I highly recommend it while the weather is great for some outdoor activities. Browse through the site, it’s very user-friendly, and I believe you will be not have an easy time deciding on a bike because they are all so cute! Don’t you just want to have them all?
