Breaking Even
July 2, 2007 – 9:08 pmThe other day, I was chatting with a friend who is interested to start an online business. He wanted to know my start up cost and all associated costs. Well, I think that before one ventures into ANY business, he should first make a list of what he hopes to gain from this new venture.
For me, one thing I hate to do is to try to break even every month. It would be tiring and burn out could kill the joy of being my own boss. That’s why I try my best to keep my cost at the lowest of low.
If there is a free service that I could use, I would. I do not see the rational of using premium service if I have an option, unless there is no free or cheap(er) alternative and I am forced to pay for it.
Some may think that I am a cheapo but I like to keep my burden light, if you know what I mean. Online trading is such a volatile business. Shopping trends fluctuate. I would hate to subject myself to meet a target that I HAVE to meet.
This does not mean that I do not set goals for myself. I do but without the burden, it is not a problem if my sales are not enough to cover my cost.
Ah, that definitely is something I DON’T need!
