Diamond Engagement Rings, A Must?
July 29, 2007 – 10:40 pmMy sister, who was recently engaged, told me that her fiancé bought her a gold diamond engagement ring. What I do not understand is, why must one have a gold diamond engagement ring? Is it a must? I have heard that now, people are using some other jewelry to seal their love because of the cost. Granted, 18ct Gold Engagement Rings used to be the ONLY acceptable rings but I believe people’s mentality have changed.
However, for some ladies, diamond rings are the only rings they will ever accept. Thankfully for them, their fiancés could afford the rings. Did they take out an advance or a loan? I hope not.
According to my sister, they managed to get a good deal by shopping online with a discount code. Well, I guess if the ring can make her happy, then so be it!

I don’t want to sound like a snob … but when my future husband buys me an engagement ring … platinum … and I need several carats to shine back at me. Engravement … optional but strongly encouraged. Some may see that as snobby, I see it as knowing my standards. Your site is always a good read! Take care!

They say Diamonds are forever. And as you said “I guess if the ring can make her happy, then so be it!” so thats it. Its all about happiness. And I am sure, the happiest persons in all this are the jewelers.
