Expectations Too High

If you have been following my blog, you will know that I recently purchased a Nokia E61i and I was not satisfied with my purchase. So I lodge complains with the Nokia Customer Centre and also with Nokia Care in my town. It is not that I want to be difficult but the device is not function in a normal way, to me.

I went to all the forums and blogs where people talk about smart phones and every E61i owner has high praise for it with nary a complain of its quirk, if any. No Sir, nobody talked about the flashing screen, the overheating or even the low quality speaker.

Is my luck this bad or are my expectations too high that I feel it is not performing to the level I expected it to?

The hometown Nokia Care Centre manager allowed me to tried out other units and all gave the flashing screen and according to the manager, I am the only one who is complaining about it. HOW CAN OTHERS TOLERATE IT?

But still left with the problem of overheating. After much consideration, I decided that I do need a new unit in case mine get burnt. I tried to use my device as a modem just now and it was still very hot but I reckon less than my previous unit. Wassup? Is it because of its motherboard or the metal casing at the back?

And since every unit has the flash in SMS compose and notes screen, I better just shut my mouth and wait for the new firmware but this does not mean that I am no longer dissatisfied!
