New Style Contact Form
July 17, 2007 – 9:46 pmWhile I am not a web designer, I run my own webstore and have engaged companies to design my site with my own ideas. As an etrader whose main mode of communication is by email and the contact form on my store for potential buyers to make enquiries or suppliers to contact me, I do know what should work to provide a swifter response to enquires.
I recently get to check out a contact questionaire which is aimed at making it easier for our visitors to leave us questions and shorten the response time.
I have tried quite a few forms previously and most of them were static spaces where we have to fill out with our information. This form provided by Vision22 is actually a short questionnaire with multiple choices which is easy because once we click on t he button, we have a space to fill out the information.
I would prefer to have the name separated from the optional address. Right now, the information go into one space. I think having two separate boxes would be neater.
As for the optional way to contact, I would prefer if we could select more than one way. For example, my preferred way could be by email, and my optional way could be by phone AND Skype. Right now, we could only select one for each.
Type of message could also include “Complains”. If there are unhappy customers, we DO want to give them an avenue to reach us. By attending to these grouses only can we improve on our business.
