Read Advertisement, Get Paid
July 12, 2007 – 10:23 pmI came across a couple of companies that pay their members to read advertisement and then get paid for their “work”. They will also gain referral fees and a potion of the “work” that members in their down line earned.
I wonder why companies would want to advertise to this small group of people when they could use their budget to reach out to more people with genuine interest to their products or service. Advertising on these companies, we KNOW that these members are only viewing these advertisements to accumulate points/cash. Do advertisers think that these members will even remember about the advertisements or let their friends and family know about such and such a company, product or service?
If I were in such a scheme, I know I won’t. As long as my “job” is done for the day, I won’t even care about the marketplace, let alone the advertiser, until a new day comes. And I am sure I won’t be the only one who is like this. So what is the point in advertising this way?
The only reason I checked out sites like these is because as an etrader with a database of Buyers, my Buyers will always have small requests for me to join programs under so that they could override me. That’s why I am exposed to all these sites!

I disagree with your theory in the part where advertisers are spending money to reach a small group, these blogs have a reach that is far and wide, I also run a traffic exchange and my blog alone can pass up even the traffic that I get on that exchange.

Hi Breezie,
I don’t mean blogs but a closed website where membership is required and members have to answer questions based on advertisements.
Members who reply the questions correctly will be credited with a paltry amount of a few cents and they have to accumulate it until at least MYR50 (if I remember correctly) before they are allowed to cash out.
