The Need For a Blog

Some companies do not see a need for a blog, though commercial blogging is increasingly popular in recent months, especially for companies involved in new media.

When I first started my blog, back in December 2005, my main purpose was to introduce my products to potential buyers. When I set up my online store, this blog came in handy because I could update my Buyers on the progress of my store, upcoming products, introduce new brand names and of course give sneak previews and freebies to my buyers.

My blog has subsequently evolved, of course. However, I find it useful to list my blog on non-commercial website or blog directories where we are not allowed to list our ecommerce site. This is where my blog comes in and it still could bring in potential customers to my online store in an indirect way.

Just last night, I discovered a new web directory. This directory, like I said, is newly launched and I have already listed my blog. While some people think that it is not advantageous to list while the site is so new, if I have the chance, I would certainly love to grow with the site. Moreover, once the directory is popular, it may start to charge new listings.
