When The Weather Is Bad
July 5, 2007 – 9:00 amDo you remember the time when Johor was thoroughly flooded? That was only one of recent case that happened in Malaysia that caused late delivery in packages. Do people want their packages to arrive a little late or all wet and spoilt?
Well, I have got news that the weather hasn’t been too kind in some parts of the United Kingdom. If you are selling your items to buyers who are in the United Kingdom, it is best that you caution them that they may experience a slight delay in delivery due to the torrential rain and what-not even though your buyers may be in the United Kingdom themselves!
You can avoid a lot of misunderstandings if you adopt open communication with your Buyers. If you failed to caution them of the delay, you may end up getting the blame and they may think that you are slacking in your customer service.
There was once when a package I sent out was delayed for a couple of days. My buyer, though, understood that once the package has left my hands, I am not in control of it anymore. Buyers like these are hard to come by.
In any case, it is best to let them know of the situation upfront.
