Who Would Buy Harry Potter For US$250?

July 25, 2007 – 8:51 pm

I came across this news article that some people put their early copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows for sale on eBay for US$250. Some lucky people managed to get their hands on an early copy due to a boo boo by the book distributor.

Is there anyone Potty head enough to buy it knowing that he/she could get it way cheaper the following day? Granted, fans have to queue up for hours but then surely that’s better than paying US$250?

US$250 is about MYR856 and we could get this paperback book at MYR69.90 on the day it was released. Oh dear, that’s almost a MYR700 difference! There are so many things that one could do with that money. What is it again about striking while the iron is hot?

Well seriously I would not buy one for this price. If I had more $’s then C’s, then maybe I would but until then, no thanx.

  3. Hey Chris,

Thanks for dropping by. I think those copies on eBay went unsold :D
No one in the world would buy then, unless the author herself? :D
