Why Email Me?
July 14, 2007 – 11:50 pmI have this issue with a fellow eBayer who keeps me on her mailing list and updates me of her products and what not ever so often. I would call this spamming because I have never bought anything from her before and she harvested my email address from the email list of a community where we both are members.
I would love to tell her to remove me from her mailing list but I don’t know if I should. That would certainly make me unpopular, right? Don’t you think it is unscrupulous to harvest email addresses and misuse them like this? I think it is rather selfish to do so, seeing that eBay Malaysia is a small community.
Right now, what I am doing is just delete her email without reading because I have no interest in buying anything from spammers. If I have the nifty email plug-in installed, I would certainly bounce her email, making her think that my email address is no longer valid.
While I also send out email updates, at least I send them only to people who have ever bought from me. But this… is really cheap shot.
