Are Credit Cards Evil?
August 18, 2007 – 11:04 amA couple of nights ago, I had the chance to compare credit cards with my friend. We both hold debit and credit cards but from different financial institutions so we wanted to see who has a better deal.
I was telling my friend that it is so easy to apply for a credit card now because all we have to do is walk to the mall and groups of credit card sales representatives would flock to us like bees to honey. The don’t even scrutinize our ability to own a credit card even though it is common knowledge that people have multiple cards, but they do ask us to get a free credit report as a standard procedure.
My friend is of the opinion that credit cards are evil but I say that it is we ourselves who mismanage and abuse the good of credit cards and so we have to face the music when we land into trouble.

Credit card it self is not eVil the human that use it is the onw that evil.
Its better to have Visa / Mastercard Debit. you can use it like credit card, shopping online and etc, and the best thing is we cannot withdraw more than the balance (just like an ATM card).

I have both Visa & Mastercard Debit cards and I prefer to use them over credit cards.

Actually, there’s not much difference for my two debit cards except that one has cash back and the other does not provide me with any benefits but then I still took it because it is convenient and safer to use than credit cards!
