Domain Registration/Transfer Discount Code
August 23, 2007 – 2:56 pmA couple of days ago, I wanted to transfer my domain name from the company that I did my registration to my regular domain registrar. I figured that it would be better in the long run to have all my domain names under one website so that I will not forget when to renew my subscription. Sooner or later, I will try to renew my domain names all at the same time.
Some people may think that this is quite risky and also costly too because to have all expiring at the same time will mean that I have to fork out one lump sum of money to renew them all.
Anyway, besides the convenience, this company provides free WHOIS protection for the first year and a annual $2.99 (if I remember correctly) fee for subsequent years.
If you think that $2.99 WHOIS guard is expensive, I think it is worth it because it is cheaper than renting a P.O. Box. I know some people edit their information and put a fake address but I don’t want that.
Anyway, as I was transferring my domain, I suddenly remember that there is a coupon code that I could use. I logged out and email a friend asking him if he has the code and he did. I saved US$0.90 with that code. Not bad, huh?
