Help On Debt Relief and Credit Card Consolidation
August 14, 2007 – 10:57 pmThe other day, I was asked if it is getting easier and easier to apply for credit card loans and loans in general. I would have to say yes. My aunt is a retiree and yet she could use her old pay slip to apply for new credit cards and then get loans from there. Of course, in the end, she is the one who has to pay off the loans plus interest and also hurt her credit rating.
My aunt is not alone, of course. I have friends who own a slew of credit cards when they obviously earn only enough to own a single card. Yet, there is no legislation to stop people from carrying more cards than they could afford.
I have quite a number of friends who told me that they seem to never earn enough despite earning almost $10,000 per month. Perhaps they are really bad personal financial managers, perhaps they have too many debts to meet at the end of the month. Whatever the case, they must learn to manage their debt without stress and headache.
A friend of mine was seeking information on debt relief online recently and discovered that one of the ways he could manage his debt better is through credit card consolidation.
He is smart to handle his debt early or he would end up overwhelmed by debt. My take on all this is not to get into debt in the first place!
