Misleading Survey Form

August 25, 2007 – 10:48 am

I mentioned that I am registered with a host of survey companies. I wanted to see if I could earn a decent amount of money because I heard that some people could by just answering surveys and sharing their opinion.

However, I found that companies don’t really want people from my location to participate because once I changed my location I was able to go through the whole list of questions.

Anyway, as a survey participant, I am not required to provide my name. That is because they don’t want to know who I am, just my shopping habits and opinion as a consumer.

So, I received an invitation to participate in a survey but I have to go through a screening first. I was told that I do not have to reveal my name. After going through the screen, I was asked to put down my name. Bah!

I logged out of the survey because they provided misleading information to me by first telling me that I shall remain anonymous but then they required my name. I find it totally unprofessional. However, I believe that although I have withdrawn, there will be many others who would proceed with the survey form. Well, good for them, then. Perhaps they could earn the 10 survey points.
