Regret Or Not?

August 27, 2007 – 11:02 pm

A reader read about my Nokia E61i, which is STILL retailing at MYR1799 and wanted to know if I regret buying such an expensive device. Well, I have to admit that this IS my most expensive purchase to date and it pains me a little. However, ordinarily, I would not regret an expensive purchase if I am using it to the maximum.

Unfortunately, it is giving me so much problems PLUS the camera is a major let down that I am regretting my purchase.

I always believe that we get what we pay for and if we have the need for it, we buy it and use it and EXPECT it to perform as we want it to. With the experience I am getting from this Nokia, I am not sure if I want to buy another Nokia.

My first mobile phone was a Sagem which was given to me by a friend. I then upgraded to Alcatel which was won in a contest. So technically, this Nokia is the first mobile phone I have ever bought and what an awful experience I have. No wonder my dad is a die hard Motorola user.

Whist I regret my purchase, I am still going to use it till it dies on me. I guess I am one of the high percentage of electronic consumers who will always have problems with their purchase. Honestly, I’m not trying to be difficult, you know?
