The Human Touch

August 25, 2007 – 6:51 am

As an online trader and regular online shopper, I notice that as the business grows, most companies lose the human touch so much so that they do not even REPLY TO EMAILS. I always wonder, who does one even bother to set up a company and do business online when he does not communicate?

You know, online trading is so sterile, it is important to keep the communication flowing at all times. It is the key to a successful transaction and when you take off emailing, there aren’t that many ways to communicate.

Sure, I have Buyers calling me up and sending me text messages besides private messages but still email is the major mode of communication and I know for a fact that this is true for all companies that cater to the web savvy internet user.

And we can’t expect international buyers to call us up on the phone, can we?

This is what I meant by losing the human touch. Sellers or companies just don’t bother to reply to enquiries anymore once they have reached the comfort zone.
