This One Takes The Cake
August 28, 2007 – 6:10 pmI have from time to time featured screen shots of people taking out orders of my FREEBIES on my blog, Ramblings of an e-trader. Can you imagine people NOT buying ANYTHING at all but just check out with freebies despite clearly written in the description that there are simple requirements to meet? I mean, these are Victoria’s Secrets products and I am giving them away for FREE, provided the buyer meets the requirements that I have set, but no, they want them FREE totally.
For orders like these, I trash them and don’t even bother to reply because clearly these people could read simple English but they just refused to understand and their greediness got the better of them.
I have considered taking them off my shelf since it was giving me some problems but these are my attractions and they make people want to buy. After all, where can you find Victoria’s Secret products for almost free, right?
There was once I posted on my blog that should anyone actually make payment to me, I am going to forfeit the payment and consider it as fees for cancellation of order and restocking. And I also swore that I would publish the names, addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers of these greedy people.
Anyway, today, this fler really is the champion of all such orders that I ever received. In his note when he ordered the VS freebie, he had the nerve to write there, “Please handle with care.” I mean, am I going to “handle” it at all? No, because he wasn’t buying anything, so why should I?
Soon after, he told me that he has remitted MYR10 to my account. Hah! he has got to be kidding. Does he think that I am the biggest water fish swimming in Malaysia? If I were to accept MYR10 for that item, or even MYR50 and MYR100, it would have left my shelf a long time ago. Does he think that he has the chance at all?
Assuming he DID send the money, it is an interbank GIRO transaction, according to him, and will require a few days to clear. Whether he did or did not, I am not going to ship the item to him, let alone handle with care. I wrote back and told him to provide me with his bank account details within three days or his money will be forfeited. I know I said that I would forfeit it straightway, but I would like to give him a chance to claim his money.
I am betting that he DID NOT even send me any money, but just said so, so that I would ship out the item to him pronto and then find that the money is not here. Well, I was not born yesterday, too bad.
In any case, my stand stays. The freebies go to genuine buyers who match my required order amount, or close to that.
