Update On Advertlets

The other day, I wrote the post on Adverlets out of frustration. The box was throwing error messages and causing my blog to take ages to load. This problem seemed to have resolved itself, though.

And then I was rather mad that my comment on StarCeleb TV was not approved and it was pending approval and I believe it is still pending now. I don’t know why it was not approved and I don’t know why other members were able to post their comments, by passing mine.

If you remember, I wrote that I submitted a ticket to Support and it was not attended to. So the whole thing made me wonder if Advertlets is only available to an exclusive group of members.

I read that Malaysian bloggers either have to choose to place their loyalty to either Advertlets or Nuffnang and people like me who serve advertisements for both networks will not benefit at all in the long run, instead of benefiting from Advertlets or Nuffnang for people who stick to one company.

Now, I certainly do not see the logic in placing my loyalty to either company. I am not a personal friend of either Boss Stewie or Josh Lim and although Boss Stewie is on my MSN buddy list, he did mention that he does not like Ipoh girls. Too bad then

Anyway, after some time, I wrote an email directly to Josh Lim (I always believe in going to the top with my problems) and telling him the problems I faced with Advertlets and wondering aloud if Adverlets is an exclusive club. I received a reply from the boss himself within an hour. That’s saying a lot considering it was after 8pm and I certainly did not expect the swift response. Well, he was rather helpful and told me that he could not trace my support ticket so I said I would submit another.

Also, after the closing date for StarCeleb’s advertorial, I was credited with MYR20 to my Advertlets account, though for the life of me, I do not understand why my comment on the blog post was ignored. Well, not that I want it to be published anymore, since it does not make a difference.

However, I finally got the reply I wanted after so many months - that my codes are installed properly and they are all recording visitors and earning me the few cents.
