What’s This For?

My cousin brother came for am overnight visit over last weekend. It has been a long while since we had a chance to really chat and it felt awkward once again. It always does after such a long interval. I saw something in his bag that I do not recognize. It’s a little gadget that we can poke our finger into. I don’t think I have even seen it before so I asked him what it was and he told me that it’s a pulse oximeter.

OPPS! I never heard of that before either.

My cousin told me that since he is a pilot, he needs to keep constant check of his blood oxygen levels, especially when he is flying. Ah… I tried playing with it but it did not show any abnormal reading for me, but of course NOT!

Anyway, every day is a learning experience!
