Ad Clicking On Mobile Devices

September 29, 2007 – 2:30 am

My friend, who owns a Nokia E61 and I, using my Nokia E61i, are heavy web browsers using our mobile devices. The other day, I wrote about mobile advertising and then also read about Google Mobile serving AdSense ads for mobile websites.

However we wonder if we would actually consciously click on advertisements or links and this coming from the two of us who have devices with rather large screens. Do you think that people would even bother on advertisements if they have smart phones or handheld computers with smaller screens?

I don’t know why Google AdSense Mobile will only be served on mobile sites when we could also surf to normal websites using the default browser and AdSense would still be displayed perfectly.

Nuffnang and Advertlets won’t, though. Perhaps they would like to look into this since more and more people would be surfing the internet using their mobile devices rather than personal computer.
