Buyer/Seller Turned BAD

September 9, 2007 – 1:15 pm

People change, reputation changes and when these do, feedback and track record are no longer relevant. If you have traded with a person once before, whether he is a Buyer or Seller, it does not necessary guarantee a second successful deal.

Many times, I have come across people who turned out not as expected and it shattered the trust that has been built in the first transaction.

For example, there have been Sellers who build their reputation on a marketplace with the aim of pulling off a great scam when they have a solid feedback record. On the same note, I know of a person who built the trust of his PayPal funds exchange partner. When his PayPal buyer deposited Ringgit into his local bank account after he transferred his PayPal funds, he lodged a charge back and was successful.

Of course, the PayPal funds buyer had no recourse; after all, it is ILLEGAL to trade PayPal funds!

Anyway, these are just examples of how Buyers or Sellers who may have a good reputation but end up quite the opposite on the second, third or fourth deal!
