Didn’t I Tell You Insurance Is Important?

September 27, 2007 – 6:51 pm

All along, I have stressed the importance of insurance. In my case, I need life insurance and a friend just bought medical insurance. When you are at a juncture in life, you will realise that there are things that you cannot avoid.

Last weekend, I had the chance to speak to my friend Chris, who owns a charter boat. He told me that no matter if the boat is expensive or not, it is good practise to buy insurance coverage for it. Just like a house, it is our property and it should be protected. A house does not face as many calamities as a boat or a dinghy where the sea can be strong and angry or it could be calm and peaceful.

In any case, if we do a boat, it is our responsibility to buy boat or dinghy insurance. When we have our property covered, we will have peace of mind when we go out to sea knowing that should anything happen to the boat or dinghy, we will not have to fork out the money from our own pocket.
