DIY Designing My Logo
September 22, 2007 – 9:22 amThe other day, I wrote about Cultivating & Establishing A Brand Name & Image and ironically, after being in business, small as it may be, I still have yet to get my own logo to represent my brand. I know it is important and yet I have been procrastinating mainly because I would like to create it myself but I don’t know any imaging program that would help me overcome my lack of creativity and artistic talent.
This morning, I was introduced to a logo design company called LogoYes which allows us to design a logo in five easy guided steps.
I tested it out and I find that it’s all just point and click. I first had to select an image, then industry. After that, I was shown symbols representing that particular industry. There were two steps in selecting a symbol. I selected “heart” and was led to a page with different variations of the heart symbol. I then had to type in the name of my business and then selected my desired font and color. After making sure that the logo and/or text were in position with the guide of a grid, I was prompted to check out with my logo design.
I have used the services of another online DIY logo design company previously and I find that the steps here are streamlined, saving time, and yet I was able to create a logo that is just as professional looking.
Based on the logo that I have created, LogoYes will even make business card, postcard and brochure to match the logo. Is that a hassle-free process or what?
