Easier Than Ever To Borrow
September 19, 2007 – 12:29 amI believe that it is currently easier than ever to apply for loans from the bank or any other financial institution, than our parents’ time. Back then, collateral was necessary to even have our loan application considered.
Fast forward to now, personal loans are so popular because there is no need for collateral. However, there are still people who would rather take out a secured personal loan which requires collateral due to the continuous rise in value of their property and the longer repayment period cum lower interest rate makes it all the more attractive.
I have taken out a secured personal loan before, and although it may seem attractive at first and “easy”, I did not like the pressure of having to meet my month end repayment schedule. I literally felt the burden on my shoulders. Of course, now that I know better, I am trying my best to avoid taking out any kind of loans at all except that I envision myself being bogged down by a home loan or a car loan in the near future.
