Getting A Kick Out Of It
September 29, 2007 – 10:22 amI mentioned before that I am on the mailing lists of some internet marketers. Although I have ZERO plans to buy any of the dime sale or surefire sale or whatever ebook and downloadble products, I still allow them to spam me about twice a day.
You know, it amuses me to read the way they try to sell their programmes and what not, as if we are their long lost friends, as if they genuinely want to help us to get rich when they are the ones who would be hearing “Kaching!” each time we buy something from them.
And then sometimes they would go, I hate myself because I informed you late that so-and-so is selling Product A for $X only. Now that I am late, he has raised his selling price to $Y. Quickly get it now before he raises it to $Z!!! Don’t you this it is funny? And it is funny because it is all too fake and yet they thicken their skin to send such email out to try to trap the unsuspecting.
The funniest thing is that when I signed up, I put a fake name. It is not a NAME at all, and yet this particular marketer keeps addressing me as the “thing”. I know they are using an automated programme to send out “personalized” email but if he would only go through the list once a while, he would have discovered it. And IF I were him and discovered such a name on my list, I would have removed it pronto. What’s the use of keeping a big number for a mailing list database when there are some who are not genuine?
