Implementing Telepresence Solution

Just now, I had a call from Paul. He updated me on the progress of his branch office in London. He said that he has been so tired flying from New York to London once a month that he can’t wait to install the telepresence solution that was recommended to him. He said that with this in lace, he could communicate better and cost effectively with his staff in London without always feeling the need to be there in person.

It is surprising that Paul is adopting all these modern technology like a duck to water. I remember when I first met him, he wasn’t even that internet savvy and needed help with the computer even for simple tasks. It is a wonder what a few years in New York by himself, without anyone to depend on, could do to him.

Sometimes, it is good to be away from familiar ground to realise our potential further. Don’t you agree? I think that I myself need to go away so that I can test my own abilities and perhaps unearth some skills that I never knew I was capable of!
