Mystery Shopping Is Serious Business

Previously, I wrote about the benefits of engaging a mystery shopping service and how I would like to work as a mystery shopper but nothing exciting like that ever happens in god ol’ Ipoh.

This morning, I was told of this company called BestMark which offers companies more than just mystery shopping. From the website of the company, I now understand that collecting customer surveys and feedback data and to measure customer satisfaction is not as easy as it seemed to me. I had thought that it’s fun to be a mystery shopper but looking from the other side of the service, it is serious business and mystery shoppers have a responsibility to collect accurate data and provide useful reporting that would help improve the client’s customer relationship and customer satisfaction level.

I had thought that all a company that provides mystery shopping does is to report all these findings. However, I was surprised to note that BestMark not only does this in real time but also provides solutions that would enhance the services of their clients based on their field reports and analysis.

Phew, that’s a lot of work to do, and like I said, it is serious business but I would still love to be a mystery shopper!!
