Reluctance In Getting Credit Card Consolidation

September 6, 2007 – 8:20 am

There is this friend of mine who is very bad in personal financial management. I have written before that he is heavily in credit card debt because he thinks nothing of charging his card and then WORSE, forgetting to settle his bill at the end of the month. It is a shame that despite working in a high position in a multi-national company with a big fat check and all the perks, he is STILL not financially healthy.

I have advised him to get credit card counseling and if possible, Credit Card Consolidation because he is in a serious situation that needs addressing as fast as possible. By getting a Credit Card Consolidation, he would be able to accumulate his credit card debts into one repayment. He would be able to manage his SINGLE debt easily (we hope) and by doing so, his credit score will raise a little.

However, he is so stubborn and refused to receive credit card counseling or seek credit card consolation because he maintains that he is not facing a crisis. I think he is but he just refused to admit his problem

Well, if he does not want to straighten his financial situation, nobody can do anything. A change will have to start from himself.
