Seeking Debt Relief

September 6, 2007 – 9:16 am

The friend I mentioned that is reluctant to seek credit card counseling or even consider credit card consolidation because he does not admit that he has a problem and wanted to save “face” definitely needs Debt Relief. Heck, he more than qualifies for it. But he says that he can overcome this problem by himself. I don’t know why he thinks that it is shameful to reach out for professional help. I think that if this goes on, he may even lose his job like what he went through once before.

I checked a list of signs to determine if a person is in need of Debt Relief, and he is facing all of them like spending more than he earns, struggling with his credit card repayments and worse, DEFAULTING on them a couple of times, receiving collection notices from his creditors and heavily in debt with his friends and family. In fact, I have also helped him out with small friendly loans before which he repays albeit after a looooong time!

I have already told him that as I friend, I could only advise him on what he should do. I read up a lot on credit card problems that people face because I don’t want to be facing these problems myself and I come across articles that mention that there is help for people like him. I hope that he will listen to my advice and get that help he so desperate needs.
