Selling On Forums
September 9, 2007 – 2:09 pmSome of you probably know that I list my items for sale on popular local forums. Well, the more eyeballs my items attract, the better chances I have in disposing them off, I figure.
Well, today, I logged in to one of the local forums where I have a sales thread and received an unpleasant surprise. My thread dated back to December, 2006 and whatever updates that I made from then till last month were missing.
I think the site either crashed or was hacked into and the administrators did not have an up-to-date back up of their database and so was only able to restore the site with a back up from last year. Well, that was simply horrible!
Of course, I am not angry or whatever, but neither am I going to back track and update the thread to current status. I simply don’t have the time for it. What I will do is just to let the thread expire since I never managed to clinch a sale from this particular forum except receiving private messages from people who wanted to get to know me.
Too bad, I am there strictly for business
